Principle
Laminating is the process of bonding a plastic film to the surface of printed matter via hot pressing or cold pressing, to provide protection and enhance gloss.
Hot lamination activates the adhesive on the film through heating, while cold lamination achieves bonding directly through pressure.
Lamination can be divided into gloss lamination and matte lamination: gloss lamination features a bright, shiny surface, and matte lamination provides a smooth, non-reflective finish.

Features
Improves abrasion resistance, water resistance and stain resistance of printed materials, enhances surface gloss, and extends service life.
Application
Widely used for surface finishing and protection of book covers, brochures, packaging boxes and other printed products.
